Israeli Delegate to Washington, D.C.
November 15-20, 2005

Love of Israel (LOI) was delighted to sponsor  a delegation of statesmen to meet with United States Congressman and Senators in Washington, D.C., November 15–20, 2005.

The objective of this visit was to provide a setting for dialogue on current events and the opportunity to foster relationships between Israel and the U.S.  During three days of meetings with American statesmen, LOI provided the opportunity to meet with Christian leaders, speak on other occasions, luncheons and a special reception.

John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, D.C.

Over 200 Christian pastors and leaders with invited Jewish guests gathered for a special complimentary luncheon with featured speakers Israeli Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency, Daniel Ayalon and Founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network, Dr. Pat Robertson.

This dynamic event was strategically positioned to provide Biblical and historical understanding about the land and the people.   With the bias in the secular news, topics of discussion were the current political environment in the land, the dispersion of the Jewish people and their right to have a homeland.

Those in attendance viewed the art works of photographer Karen Gillerman-Harel and painter Ora Abrahami.

Co-sponsored by fifteen local churches and Jewish organizations, over 1,200 people gathered for a cultural evening with included educational and Biblical insights by Ambassador Ayalon and Dr. Pat Robertson.  A special message from The Honorable, Benjamin Netanyahu was received with gratitude.

LOI welcomed Roger Hammond and the Atlantic Shores Orchestra, the patriotic music of Marie Umidi, Israeli Concert Pianist, Dror Baitel and the magnificent dancing of Steven and Angela Samotis.

LOI co-sponsored this elaborate luncheon for pastors and leadership with Salem Communications.  Special guest speaker, Malcolm Hedding, Executive Director of the International Christian Embassy, lectured about the dynamics in the land of Israel.  Those in attendance received special gifts to show our appreciation for their leadership and support of Israel.
